General Description
A common unit consists of a dish-shaped jar with a perforated plate. A mixer/agitator and jacket can maintain the desired temperature throughout the vessel. It is entirely leak-proof for vacuum and pressure service. The base plate has bolting bars to retain the filter fabric.
Maintenance holes and side discharge nozzles are examples of suitable nozzles that can be provided. PTFE-lined stirrers are used for the agitator shaft, while solid PTFE blades are employed to handle high torque generation during solid discharge and re-slurring operations.
